Privacy policy

At RACINE, we only collect the personal information we need to process your order, help you and, if you agree, email you. This policy explains what we collect, why, who we share it with, and how to exercise your rights. It follows Québec's Act respecting the protection of personal information in the private sector (Law 25) and Canada's federal privacy law (PIPEDA).

What we collect

  • For your order: name, email address, shipping and billing address, phone number (if you provide it) and your order details.
  • For payment: payments are processed by our payment providers (Shopify Payments, PayPal, Apple Pay, Google Pay). We never have access to your full card number.
  • To email you: your email address, only if you tick the box to receive our emails.
  • On our website: cookies and browsing data (pages viewed, device, where you came from). Cookies that aren't needed for the site to work are turned off by default; you can turn them on or leave them off in the cookie banner.

Why we use it

To process, ship and track your order; answer your questions and handle returns; prevent fraud; meet our legal and tax obligations; and, with your consent, send you news and measure how well our ads work.

Who we share it with

We never sell your information. We only share it with the providers who help us run the store, and only what they need:

  • Shopify, our online store platform;
  • Zendrop, our order preparation and shipping partner;
  • the carriers who deliver your package;
  • our payment providers;
  • Meta (Facebook and Instagram), to measure our ads, only if you accept advertising cookies.

Information shared outside Québec

Some of these providers store or process information outside Québec, including elsewhere in Canada, in the United States and in Asia. We choose them with their level of protection in mind and ask them to protect your information.

How long we keep it

We keep your information for as long as needed for the purposes above, then destroy or anonymize it. Order records are kept for as long as tax laws require (generally 6 years).

Security

We take reasonable measures to protect your information. If a confidentiality incident poses a risk of serious harm, we'll notify you and the Commission d'accès à l'information.

Your rights

You can ask at any time to access your information, have it corrected, withdraw your consent, or unsubscribe from our emails (every email has a link). Write to the person in charge above; we'll reply within 30 days.
If you're not satisfied with our answer, you can contact Québec's Commission d'accès à l'information or the Office of the Privacy Commissioner of Canada.

Changes

If we change this policy, the new version will be posted on this page with its update date.
